The faculty of the TCU
Department of Sociology is dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge through
scholarly research and committed to the goal of academic excellence
within the classroom.
The Sociology faculty is
comprised of diverse and dedicated individuals committed to investing in the
lives of TCU students. The Sociology faculty have reputations
across campus as being caring, innovative, stimulating, and
dedicated to building relationships with students.
The research and teaching interests of the faculty include family and gender
studies, social psychology and social interaction, race and ethnic relations,
criminology
and deviance, medical sociology, and popular culture. A
distinctive feature of the Sociology department is the individual attention and
support provided to students
by the Sociology faculty.
